What Postpartum Doulas Do
As a Certified Postpartum Doula, my job is to work myself out of a job, giving you all the tools and confidence to take over on your own as soon as you’re ready. My team and I can help in just about any way you need while we’re with you, including (but by no means limited to):

Additional Services & Classes
Lactation Doula Visit - $160/up to 4 hours
An in-home or in-hospital non-medical practical visit. This can be after your IBCLC visit to help implement what they have told you to do in a practical way that fits your life. Or in the days leading up to your IBCLC visit since feeding 8-12 times in 24 hours is a lot when things aren't going well and I can help until they have availability to see you. Or if your concern is non medical we may avoid needing an IBCLC appointment at all but I will always refer when things are out of my scope. With a non-medical in-home or in-hospital lactation doula visit I can help with practical support, like you taking a nap/shower while I work on dishes/laundry while wearing the baby(ies) so you can be refreshed for the next feed. Up to 4 hours also allows the feed to be on demand instead of expecting a newborn to conform to our schedule, eliminating the stress of if the feed will line up the appointment time. Other topics can include: swaddling, babywearing, bottles, pumps, carseats, etc |
Lactation Doula Visit - Hybrid - $400
Charges for this package of unlimited text and email support before birth and through 14 days postpartum plus up to 3 appointments (up to 1 hour each) is $400. The prenatal appointment will be virtual and the other appointment(s) can be in person or virtual, after birth. Additional appointments will be charged at $100 per 24 hours for up to 1 hour of virtual or in person support and unlimited text and email support for the 24 hours after the appointment. |
Twins! Tips & Tricks Class - $100/2 hours
We'll go over positions for bottle and/or breast feeding, babywearing, sleep routine options, swaddling, registry items, carseats, and anything else you want to know. I have been working with twins and their families since 2011 as a certified postpartum doula and have completed Advanced Training for Doulas Working with Multiples through ABC Doula. This class will be held by appointment. |
Tips & Tricks for the 4th Trimester Class - $100/2 hours
We'll pick from a list of topics that the group wants to discuss including but not limited to postpartum planning, carseats, babywearing, swaddling, registry items, burping methods, strollers, sleep, etc. I have been working with families in the first 3 months postpartum since 2011 and have lots of tips and tricks that my clients have found very useful that I want to pass along to other families! This class will be held by appointment. |
Prenatal Carseat Class - $40/1.5 hours
A nationally certified child passenger safety technician will check the install of your seat in your car as well as help you practice putting a doll into your carseat so you'll be ready for your baby's first ride. This class is for first time expectant parents only, the weekly seat checks (Tues 10-12 or by appointment) are more suitable for those with older children. This class will be held by appointment. |
