What Postpartum Doulas Do

As a Certified Postpartum Doula, my job is to work myself out of a job, giving you all the tools and confidence to take over on your own as soon as you’re ready. My team and I can help in just about any way you need while we’re with you, including (but by no means limited to):​

• Nap and/or overnight support while you’re still in the hospital
• Help with the children while you shower or sleep
• Prepare food
• Wash the dishes
• Do the laundry
• Nighttime feeding to your goals to minimize sleep interruptions
• Ask what we can do to help you feel better – and do it
• Babywearing
• Diapering
• Sibling integration
• Tidying the house
• Helping with tips and tricks on infant feeding and soothing
• Just sitting and talking
