New Family Support During the Fourth Trimester
After three trimesters of pregnancy, you’re coming home from the hospital with something very precious – a new life. Anxieties may be coming home with you: How will I be able to care for my newborn around the clock, day and night? Will I do everything right? What if I get something wrong? How can I take care of my household when I need to take care of my baby? Why am I feeling so sleepy, so lonely, so washed-out physically? I know just how you feel. I know it from the many mothers who’ve been clients. And I know because I’ve been there myself – twice, as a mother of two. As a Certified Postpartum Doula, my team and I do everything from helping with infant care and feeding, to answering your questions, to doing household chores you haven’t regained the energy for, to nurturing you physically and emotionally, to providing emotional support for you and your whole family. In short, I help you get through the trimester that nobody adequately prepares you for – the fourth one. |
