How we work with you

​Before your baby’s born, you and I meet. That way, you can learn more about me and what I do, while I learn more about you, your needs and your expectations.
When you decide to hire us, there’s a retainer which covers the first nights, plus guidance in the weeks before your baby’s born. (See specifics below.)

If you don’t decide until your baby’s born, and we have an opening, there’s no retainer and you pay an adjusted hourly rate.

​Either way, there’s one contract, one weekly bill on Sundays, and a choice of hours to meet your family’s needs.

What it costs

STANDARD RATES

DAY DOULA SUPPORT – $41/hour ($44 for twins/holidays/booked after birth)

• 3-4 hour shifts
• 1-5 days per week
• Morning, afternoon, evening, or a mixture to meet your needs

NIGHT DOULA SUPPORT – $41/hour ($44 for twins/holidays/booked after birth)

• 8-10 hour shifts
• 3-7 nights per week

All of the following retainer fee packages include:

• Registry selection support, including babywearing, layette, toys, equipment, feeding, diapering, and more
• Car seat selection and guided installation support
• Prenatal meeting
• Short visit 24-48 hours after birth to make sure everything’s going smoothly
• Initial consultation from an IBCLC/SLP within the first week to help facilitate an optimal feeding experience

STANDARD RETAINER FEE – $4,511

• ​​​​96 hours of day or night support, to be used within the first 4 weeks after birth (Three 8 hour nights a week for 4 weeks, or whatever combination works best for your family)
• Option to continue at the standard hourly rate through 12 weeks postpartum

12 NIGHTS WITH ONE DOULA EXCLUSIVELY - RETAINER FEE – $4,607

• 8 hours of night care from your specified doula, 10PM-6AM, over 12 nights, during the first 3 weeks after birth
• 1-2 nights off per week after an initial 5-7 nights in a row
• All 12 nights with your doula are guaranteed (Option: If unforeseen extreme circumstances arise, we can carefully match and orient a different team member to take over at the standard rate)
• Additional support from your doula at $42/hour through week 12 (Advance arrangements required.)
• ​Additional support from a different team member at the standard rate through week 12, no advanced arrangements required
